Hello,
I have a question when someone wins a thousand dollars on the wheel
when does the prize money get sent out? I love your show and have
watched the show for at least 25 years.
thank you, lynnett |
 |
Cash
and prizes won on The Price is Right are usually delivered
to the contestant within 3 months of the airing of his or her episode. |

On
the March 26, 2002 show, one of the products was Hills Cappuccino
in white chocolate caramel flavor, how can I contact this company
for a nearby store? |
 |
The
Hills Bros. coffee was purchased at a local grocery store, as happens
with a number of inexpensive items used in pricing games on The
Price Is Right. Unfortunately, we don't keep records of where
such items are purchased, but perhaps you could locate the coffee
at a grocery store near you, or see if there is a listing for Hills
Bros. in Toll-Free Directory Assistance, (800) 555-1212. |

Hello
there, I was recently watching The Price Is Right, and I caught the
tail end of an item being bid on. The item was a " snow bike? " It
looked like a mt bike and was pedal powered I believe, but the rear
end was like a small snowmobile track, and the front was a ski instead
of a wheel. I would really like to find out more information about
this. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Sincerely, Koren Roy |

You
may contact the SkiKing company directly for more information: SkiKing

I
am a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago. I noted on the ticket site that
you needed a social security number, however these are not issued
in my country. We currently are attending university in Canada and
hope to watch the Price is Right live. Is there any way we can be
admitted to the Price is Right without a social security number? |
 |
You
can still be admitted to The Price Is Right without a social
security number because the country were you live doesn't issue them,
but you must have ither a passport, driver's license or some other
form of I.D. that shows your photo, birthdate, name and address. Thank
you for your interest in our show. |
 |
Greetings,
I have watched the show forever and I have often wondered what 'meeting
eligibility requirements' means as it appears on the credits at the
conclusion of each show. Does this mean things other than age restrictions?
Like California taxes on prizes? Or what? I am from Canada, what implication
does a Canadian have on them if they win prizes/cash? If taxes are
required and the contestant can't pay them what happens?
Thanks, Brian |
 |
Contestants
must be 18 yrs. of age and not have appeared on The Price Is Right
before. They also must produce valid photo ID and proof of their social
security number. Prize winners are responsible for California State
Taxes as well as Federal taxes. The tax and prize delivery issues
for non-U.S. residents are discussed with each winner after their
appearance on the show. Based on their own circumstances, contestants
may choose whether or not to accept the prizes they have won. |

My
wife saw today's (3/20/02) show. The grand prize was a camper/van.
She told me I should check it out. Can you tell me the manufacturer,
model and MSRP.
Thank you, Joseph Slomka |

I
watched the show on this past Monday morning and saw that one of the
prizes you were giving was this awesome contemporary chair type with
ottoman. I think the company was Allesso furniture, can you tell me
the exact name or how to contact them. Thank you so much. |

Hi.
I collect TV/movie prop license plates. I have many very famous license
plates. I was wondering if there was any way I could get one of the
'Price is Right' license plates that they put on the prize cars. |
 |
Sorry,
but The Price Is Right license plates are made by the prop
department at CBS, and unfortunately, are not for sale. |

What
criteria is used when deciding to retire a game? The most recent ones
I can recall being retired are "Fortune Hunter" and "Super Ball."
Is it when too few contestants win (too hard)? I noticed that you
changed the format of "Pass The Buck" to give the contestants a better
chance (give them one pick, reduce #s from 8 to 6, reduce Lose Everything’s
from 3 to 2). |
 |
According
to Kathy 'Fingers' Greco, it's just a matter of opinion on certain
games. Sometimes they just get old & need to be retired. |

I
have a question about the rules of Price is Right. To clear something
up with a friend, I would like to know how the person who gets to
bid or pass first in the showcase is chosen. I assumed that either
showcase showdown winner is eligible based on who gets closer to $1.
My friend, however, says that regardless of who gets closet to $1
overall, it is the winner of the first showcase showdown who will
go first in the actual showcase game. Can you clear this up for me?
Thank you.
Sincerely, Ben |
 |
The
top winner of the two gets the option to either bid or pass the 1st
showcase. |
 |
We
were watching The Price is Right in school today, and my classmates
and I got into a small argument. I always thought that when the contestants
try to guess the price of the item, if they guess over the retail
price or whatever, even if you were closer, it wouldn't count. Can
you confirm that, or am I just imagining things? |
 |
In
the showcases and the one-bids on Contestants Row, always...there
are some individual games where contestants may bid higher than the
price but the game rules allow another chance. |
 |
We
are long time viewers of The Price Is Right and we have been wondering
about Janice that used to be on the show. What is the name of the
book was that she wrote?
Thanks so much. |
 |
Her
book is called, "Husband, Lover, Spy." |
 |
This
is a question that me and my girlfriend have been fighting about for
months, please save our relationship by answering this question: how
many seats are there for audience on The Price Is Right? |
 |
The
Bob Barker Studio seats about 325. |
 |
Hi,
I wanted to know if you have ever had 2 people in the showcase showdown
with the exact difference, making them both winners? Thank you. |
 |
No,
it has never happened (yet!)... |
